Election of Directors
The purpose of the Election of Directors by Written Ballot is to fill two (2) open seats on the Board of Directors of the Sopris Village Homeowners Association, Inc. (“Association”) for two (2) year terms. In order for the Written Ballot to be effective in electing directors, Owners entitled to cast at least one-quarter of the votes in the Association must complete a Written Ballot and return it to the Association by no later than 5:30 pm on December 9, 2024.
The Owners of each Lot in the Association are entitled to cast one (1) vote for two (2) candidates and may write in the name of a candidate who is not listed and for whom they wish to cast a vote. However, Owners are not permitted to cast more than one (1) vote for any individual candidate, are not required to cast a vote for two (2) candidates, may not cast more than two (2) votes, and are not required to write in a candidate. If Owners entitled to cast one-quarter of the votes in the Association return their Written Ballot to the Association by no later than 5:30 pm on December 9, 2024, the two (2) candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to serve a two-year term.
In order to protect your privacy, the portion of the Written Ballot where you identify your name and the address of the Lot you own in Sopris Village, will be separated from the Written Ballot and the secrecy of your vote shall be maintained.
In order for your vote to be counted, you must deliver your completed Written Ballot to the Association by no later than 5:30 pm at the Annual Meeting on December 9, 2024, and prior to the Annual Meeting being called to order.
The Annual Meeting will be held at the Eagle County Community Center. If you are unable to attend the Annual Meeting, you may also mail or email your completed Written Ballot by no later than that same date and time to Megan Rodman using the following information:

At the October 16, 2023 Board Meeting the Board of Directors reviewed the first draft of a proposed Resolution 2023-1 Committee Policy for Sopris Village HOA. As the Board continues work on the water infrastructure replacement project, they are interested to know overall community interest in creating a committee that would assist the Board with gathering information regarding this project. Should any homeowner be interested in participating in such a committee the Board asks that they read the draft Resolution 2023-1 Committee Policy, and email info@soprisvillage.com their name and reason for interest in creating and being a part of a water infrastructure replacement project committee.
